Ellie Jane Goulding is a British born on 30 December 1986. Her mother Tracey Goulding Summers worked in an ice cream shop and the father Arthur Goulding was a member of an undertaker's family. Goulding has three children: a sister Isabel who is older a brother Alex and a second sister Jordan. Alex is her brother who plays bass in a Hereford group. The mother of her child encouraged her to pursue music as a child. She started learning the clarinet at age nine. After she turned 14 she began to write lyrics.
